After the last update, the screen occasionally turns green and stops responding. Rebooting does not fix the issue. After keeping the phone off for a while it works fine. Could this be a hardware issue or is it software related?
Sadly this sounds like a hardware issue to me. Any recent drops? 
Works perfect now but there are many posts and videos showing that it is a known hardware issue and will probably get worse with time. Amazon offers me a refund for it and maybe I should return my pixel as much as I like the phone… 
I would wait for the pixel 10, the next days and would trade in
