I just bought a Samsung S10 with IodeOS on it. I can’t receive or send MMS messages. From what I understand, I need to configure the APN. But I don’t know what that is or how to configure it. Could you help me? Thank you.
Go to “Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > (Your SIM) > Access Point Names” and check your settings there compared to what your carrier requires for MMS.
MMS will need at least the APN and MMSC fields and possibly others again depending on your carrier specifications.
Without the correct APN field (and maybe others) you also will not have cellular data, so please confirm if data is working or instead if the issue is only MMS.
Lastly I think you may be aware but Samsung does not allow IMS registration (responsible for VoLTE or “4G voice calls”) on 3rd party ROMs. There is unfortunately no way around this, so if your carrier has disabled 3G cell towers you will need to consider an exchange to a phone from a different manufacturer.
Allez dans « Paramètres > Réseau et Internet > Cartes SIM > (Votre carte SIM) > Noms des points d’accès » et vérifiez vos paramètres par rapport à ceux requis par votre opérateur pour les MMS.
Les MMS nécessitent au minimum les champs « APN » et « MMSC », et éventuellement d’autres champs selon les spécifications de votre opérateur.
Sans le champ « APN » correct (et éventuellement d’autres champs), vous n’aurez pas non plus accès aux données cellulaires. Veuillez donc vérifier si les données fonctionnent ou si le problème concerne uniquement les MMS.
Enfin, vous le savez peut-être déjà, mais Samsung n’autorise pas l’enregistrement IMS (responsable des appels VoLTE ou « appels vocaux 4G ») sur les ROM tierces. Il n’y a malheureusement aucun moyen de contourner cette restriction. Si votre opérateur a désactivé les antennes 3G, vous devrez envisager de changer de téléphone et d’opter pour un modèle d’un autre fabricant.
