There is a way to incorporate live traffic data from Google into OsmAnd without getting tracked (OsmAnd just reads the data):
Not complicated to do, and it works great!
The article can probably be translated into English (didn’t check because I speak German).

Thanks. Will OsmAnd~ with this installed automatically re-route around closures and delays?

That’s the idea as the plugin is the official live traffic data by Google.
Looking at Firefox’s translation of the page you linked, and of the linked page at https://hoerli.net/osmand-google-traffic-anzeigen/, it does not do automatic re-routing. It says that the traffic data will be displayed on the map, as in Google Maps: no congestion or delays - green, some congestion / delays - yellow, heavy congestion / long delays - red, But the linked page says
Was leider nicht funktioniert, ist die automatische Routenänderung, wenn auf unserer geplanten Route ein Problem vorliegt (z.B. Stau). Wir bekommen nur die aktuelle Verkehrsinformation farblich dargestellt.
or
What unfortunately does not work is the automatic route change if there is a problem on our planned route (e.g. Traffic jam). We only get the current traffic information in color.
And nor does it mention taking traffic levels into account when calculating a route. Google Maps does both of those.
So basically it is a separate layer that displays but doesn’t directly interact with the trip planner? This still could be quite helpful, if you plan a route and it is going right through “red” then look at alternatives, but yes it won’t match Google Maps in this regard.
@jwalesch any more “real usage feedback” for those that would consider trying it?
