Hello,
Is there a reliable way to install iode on a Fairphone 4?

I’ve read about some people who bricked their device and now I’m not sure if I should install it or not.

I believe there is always a little bit of risk, but I don’t want to brick my device.

Thanks! 🙂

I had exactly the same concerns as you and wrote a blog post about it:

> **[How to Install iodéOS 3.2 on a Fairphone 4 for Dummies](https://www.brotcast.ch/blog/2022-11-29-how-to-install-iode-3-on-a-fairphone-4-for-dummies/)**

Maybe that helps to get a better feeling of what are the risks associated. I would claim that, if you follow these detailed instructions closely, there is very little risk to brick your device.
