# Google and iodes os

is it possible to have IodeOs with Google ?

That’s the philosophy of iode OS. That it is **de** googled. And gapps do not work.  
You have to use lineage OS

Some Google apps _ **will** _ work in IodéOS - Maps works fine, even without logging in to a Google account. The only way to know if an app will work is to install it from Aurora Store (which can be installed from F-Droid) and try 🙂

What you _ **cannot** _ do is flash a GApps package (OpenGApps, MIndTheGApps) as these packages include Google Play Services which cannot co-exist with MicroG (which IodéOS includes). Flashing a GApps package will cause many apps to fail in unpredictable ways
