# Fairphone 3 reboots permanently

Since a few minutes ago fairphone 3 rebots permanently idoe.

Removing the battery switched it off and it I try to start it again it continously permanently reboots idoe.

Please clarify what build you are on. Did the reboots start happening after an upgrade?

No, it didn’t start after an update.

My build is idoé 6.18 20260826–FP3.

Removing the battery over night, putting it back in in the morning, has solved. the problem.

(For the moment?)

OK please keep us updated. There have been several devices that needed kernel updates rolled back to avoid reboot issues (these would appear just as a “system update” so make sure you are on top of those), and I thought the FP3 was one of them. But in your case it may be different.

I also have an FP3 with iodéOS, currently 6.18 (in this way, the predecessors before…). I CANNOT confirm _this_ issue. Regarding this behaviour, it’s all fine. (I do experience some other issue, but that is a different story.)
