Hi, not sure if this is related to iodé, but maybe someone has an idea: Since recently I noticed extremly bad quality on telephone calls,i.e. I am barely understandable. At first I thought it might be the microphone, but a recording with the speech notes app was just fine. I also tried setting “4G calls” (which I believe is VoLTE) without any effect. What else could I try ? I am still on iodé 5.8-20241220. TIA
I think it is better to start a new thread on this if it needs more sorting out, but a guess is that your location maybe switched off 3G towers and your calls are now going over 2G?
I doubt that it is the 2G, because when I use my headset call quality is good. So it seems to be related with the use of the mircophone.
Is it the same when on “speakerphone” mode as with the normal speaker (top of phone) for calls?
no, when used with normal speaker, then call quality is much better or the other way round depending on what you define as speakerphone and normal speaker ![]()
Maybe you could specify your device model?
(When I look at iodéOS official supported devices - iodé there is only one device “stuck” on iodé 5 and that does not support VoLTE.)
EDIT: I searched through your comments and found that you use an inofficial build for a Sony Xperia ZX1.
