# Booting into recovery after upgrading to v7.x

I strongly suggest providing this important information in the updater app!

It was an error that the Updater advertised an OTA update for the FP4. It has since been removed. But the Updater app itself also can’t be updated via OTA, since it is the active app performing the update (so it isn’t possible to add a warning message there, etc.)

Just for others that are still stuck I am linking to a new thread to consolidate the current status and issues for the FP4:
